Hello,
Have you tried to see that this issue is not caused by a plugin conflict?
Usually, this issue is caused by a plugin conflict, please do a test using the theme plugins, clear all cache and see if the problem persists.
Also, please provide the link to your website.
Thank you!
I found the cause or the problem. At least as far as the live search header is concerned.
If I enter a single post type in the “Post Type” field, e.g. post or post_galleries or any of the existing post types it works. However, if I enter more than one post type, it no longer works. (we are currently working with 13 different CPTs, but there will definitely be more)
A little information on the side ๐
We know the problem when it comes to the smooth cooperation of the different plugins.
Therefore, in our test environment, we only work with the plugins that are absolutely necessary.
in this case, they are:
All plugins from TagDiv (except for the mobile themes)
such as
NextGEN Pro (we also test if our galleries are found)
WP Media folder (because of the better clarity of the article images)
WP Original Media Path (we have outsourced the article images to a separate subdomain for better performance)
Custom Post Type UI and Custom Post Type Permalinks.
But even if we deactivate these plugins, the search in the standard search does not work.
If the error still occurs, as in this case, it is not due to another plugin. ๐
the link to the live page is https://www.saarland.today
the link to the test page is https://st.saarland.today
if you press return in the result at “HEADER LIVE SEARCH” you end up on the 404 page.
in the url you can see https://www.saarland.today/?s=csd&post_type=post

Hello,
I did a test and for me works https://www.screencast.com/t/5wqu3eK5
As I said please do a test only with tagdiv plugin, disbale all extra plugins.
Also, our theme uses the WordPress search function, and we made few changes only for the live search. By default, those will display all posts and pages that contain the word/words you are looking for in the title or post content. Also, for Header live search you can set taxonomy in search -> https://i.imgur.com/ghBBwHr.png
Please let the post type empty.
Thank you!
Hi
Thank you for your efforts :).
We found that we used the wrong category filter on the results page.
after we have entered search – current search there, the search results are also displayed ๐
now we will adjust the texts of the results page ๐
What would be good would be if there was a manual with ALL the features that the theme can do to look in ๐
e.g. the search results section function ๐
that is our website http://www.monnews.org i can’t make search in Header live search
Hi @talachan,
Please use the Header live search or Search Form, not mobile search on the desktop.
The search works, but you set the mobile search on the desktop which is why looks like this -> https://i.imgur.com/TgLBFTp.png
Thank you!
