Hi everybody,
any idea how to fix my product page? http://www.screencast.com/t/4LudqIgNAId5
It looks diferrent on Newspaper demo page.
My product page is missing tabs, positions are wrong,..
Thank you.
Hello,
Our newspaper shop page from thew demo is custom made. You can create a page in visual composer and add elements to it: http://screencast.com/t/Z6zLbSCHJvR
You can use other visual composer elements if you wish like tabs for example.
(We cannot create the page for you. We can offer tips on how it can be done.)
If you need help customizing your homepage you will need to get some hired help as we cannot offer any customization services at the moment.
Thank you for your understanding.
Maybe we dont understand each other:) Not shop page, single product page. I think, product page is default. A few days ago, my product page was similar like demo product page. But now there are differences. http://www.screencast.com/t/TAjEGGO4G And I dont know why. Website is still running with the same plugins.
Hello Jan,
The problem with your product page is that it’s no longer a product page. The classes are totally different. Here is a regular product page: Woocommerce recognizes it as a product page: http://screencast.com/t/4rOJJexh
And here is your page: http://screencast.com/t/x3f5idUp9Z54 Your product is no longer a product post type. You cannot have the woocommerce layout if your product page is no longer the standard product type.
Please try to disable all your plugins except visual composer and woocommerce and check your page again. I suspect a plugin caused this.
Let us know how it goes.
Thank you!
Hello Jan,
I have checked your website and I saw some differences between our product page and your product page. If you want to have a standard product page, as we have on our demo preview -> http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_tech/product/woo-logo-3/ please try to use woo commerce plugin and set it properly. I notice you have some unknown classes which might come from another plugin…and your issue might be caused by this plugin behaviour -> http://screencast.com/t/rVUMLtC0vqH
For more information about this plugin, you should check their documentation, like this -> https://wordpress.org/plugins/woocommerce/ and also this tutorial should be more useful for you -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V_mt-c_l36U
Hope this helps!
Thank you for the message!
Thank you guys for your time. I am using WooCommerce plugin and I use it properly. Anyway, I finnaly fixed my problem, but I have no idea how:)).
First, I tried to switch themes. In WordPress Twenty Fifteen theme standard product page was ok.
So I tried to downgrade Newspaper theme to version 6.3. and luckily in this version of Newspaper theme woocommerce product page was ok too.
In my last step I was trying to upgrade Newspater theme 6.3. to version 6.6.4 and it is still working.
Thank you.
Hi team,
I am having the same problem as above. In short, my single product page and shop page have lost their left margins and are all over the place. They were working fine but out of the blue appear to have gone to sh*t virtually overnight. I just updated to WordPress 4.8 but not sure if that’s a culprit.
In reviewing your post above, I still appear to have the correct code on the product page which is similar to your example. See below.
<head>
<body class=”product-template-default single single-product postid-7643 woocommerce woocommerce-page website-review global-block-template-1 wpb-js-composer js-comp-ver-5.1.1 vc_responsive td-animation-stack-type0 td-full-layout td-js-loaded” itemscope=”itemscope” itemtype=”http://schema.org/WebPage”>
I turned off all plugins except for Visual Composer and WooCommerce and the problem still exists. I tried a different theme which did appear to resolve the issue. When I go back to Newspaper 8, the problem returns. So there appears to be an issue between the theme and WooCommerce. I also updated to WP 4.8 which plausibly could have contributed.
I’m quite experienced with WordPress after nearly a decade of using it, but this one has me stumped and frustrated. Would welcome any help you can provide.
Thanks guys 🙂
Follow up comment to my earlier post. I notice in the code that it includes references to visual composer (i.e., wpb-js-composer js-comp-ver-5.1.1 vc_responsive td-animation-stack-type0), but on my product and shop page, I am not using visual composer. Just the native WordPress interface for page creation. I wonder if there is some sort of conflict where it’s calling on Visual Composer but it’s rendering a standard WordPress page (?). Open to suggestions.
cheers
Hi guys,
Ok, final comment here. I’ve resolved it. But it wasn’t through any special tweak. It was a conflict between my theme and WooCommerce, but somewhere along the line my installation must have gotten screwed up and caused the issue. I basically replaced the Newspaper 8 theme with a new install and it fixed it. FYI, if anyone else has an issue, perhaps ask them if they’ve made any changes to the theme. If so, a fresh install helped me out in this case.
