PWA (Progressive Web Application) for Newspaper

Hi,

I think it should be implemented in core of Newspaper theme because google like pages with this feature and with AMP. What do You think about? Or maybe someone did it already and can share with us?

I guess that you are referring to a PWA plugin, right? Please notice that plugin has not been tested with our items and also, we cannot say for sure if it will work or not with the theme, sorry!

Not really. I think it could be implemented as default as next update 🙂 Ithelps people to read pages when they are offline (very usefull). Of course – I can install third party plugin but better is to have as little as possible, right? 🙂 That why I’m asking.

Hello lisek,

Please notice that you are free to install any plugin you want but please notice that not all of them are tested with the theme and therefore not all of them should work as expected with our theme. As a mention is very important to know that we cannot provide support for untested plugins, sorry!

I tried a open source plugin on WordPress for PWA on Newspaper theme last day called “Super Progressive Web Apps”, and it worked well for me and with Newspaper theme. You can also try it.
