Is it possible to use Header Style 5 but without the ad banner below it in the header? However, I would still like to use that ad position but maybe separately. Reason I ask is that we want to have a couple of pages on the site where that banner is different banner versus the rest of the site (home page and posts) where a different banner will be used.

Hi,
You can remove it from here: http://screencast.com/t/mlTcFp8v or you can hide it via css. Depending on your needs you can still call that ad position. You can add it via page builder or you could alter the code to appear only on the pages you want it to.
