Is there any way to set a post to be a video post, but preserve the featured image in the actual page instead of the featured video?
I like the idea of some kind of icon to show that a post has a video inside,but I dont want it to be at the top of the post.

Hi,
Unfortunately the theme doesn’t have an option for that, you can change the way the video format is handled from here: http://screencast.com/t/DkqXUU50M or you can set it to video format the use css and hide the videos you don’t want.
Either way you need custom works and unfortunately we cannot offer custom work at this time as we work hard on the development, updates, fixes and support.
