Hello,
using Newspaper 7.0.1 theme on WP 4.6.1 I am having a hard time configuring excerpts.
I set the length of the excerpt as desired for my blocks in the Theme settings and it works as is (e.g.: posts get cut at what I set). The problem is that if I insert the “Read more” tag in the post, it gets ignored in the blocks and the x words I set in the Theme settings are shown instead.
Is there anything I can do?

Unfortunately, the Read More button has been designed to be used only for posts and that’s why you cannot bring any results this regard. Please notice that we have some Blocks which are using the Read More button, like as Block 12 or 13, as you can see here -> http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/block-13/
