Hi – I have entered a Google Maps API in the theme panel, but I can not see how to get the address of a property to appear in a google map on a property page through the CPT Location Display element. How does this work??
Hello,
If you edit a property, then you should find the location here and choose a value from here: https://app.screencast.com/hq6lYEG8UFjUa in order to appear on your end.
Check this topic: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/how-to-change-location-in-newpaper-theme-real-estate-pro-template/
Thank you!
Hi – that’s not what I’m asking. I’m asking about Google Maps. I want to have a Google Map on each property page that shows its location. How do I do this? I have already saved a Google Maps API. I just don’t know how to implement this.
Hello,
You need to add a custom field and add this value there to show the entire location -> tdb-location-complete -> https://i.imgur.com/TWSIA5y.png the same for map.
Thank you!
Ok but this is missing a step – what field type for the custom field? Those two entry areas (address in the header and google map later in the property listing) are very different. Do I create a text field type or google map field type?
Also the Google Map is is greyed out and says “For Development purposes only”. I don’t know why that is since I have entered a valid API key and I have billing attached to the google account. Is there a fix for this?
Hello,
So, for example if you use this page for submission https://i.imgur.com/beKk7gQ.png you can do it as in this video ->
Also, please make sure that you like this in your account for google api -> https://prnt.sc/3zFwO9DR4sBJ -> https://prnt.sc/pe-g5Z4Xj6cN -> https://prnt.sc/GupKgQKEH0wq.
Thank you!
Sorry, you didn’t answer my first question (what field type for custom field)
Also, my Google account for the API does look like this and has billing set up.
I’m sorry but I don’t understand what you mean at all. If I don’t add a new custom field, how is the address added to the listing??
I figured out how to add the google map element in the front end listing – but it seems like this does not create the ability to add the property address on the back end, correct? So any listings I add need to be done through the front end form?
Hello,
Sorry, it seems that the link was blocked: https://we.tl/t-V47hoYdj27. Please check now. Yes, you need to add the element on the front end because this can not be added on the back end.
Thank you!
