Dear,

Please, how can I view the recent or popular posts from current category or sub-category in the sidebar?

For example, suppose I’m in an article in the Sports category, only the last or popular posts in the Sports category will appear in the sidebar. I use the widget Block 7.

If the Newsmag theme does not provide this function, please in which file should I enter the code? In the includes/wp_booster/sidebar.php? Please do you have this code or a guide about it? In my old theme I manually entered a code in the sidebar.php file to display the recent posts in the current category.

I do not want to use a plugin to not weigh down the site.

I understood thank you. So it is enough to create a sidebar for each category and use the block which my like and filter it by Popular post from a certain category.
