Hi I’m a noob to Newspaper template but having some interesting moments with it.
I have about 3,500 articles from a previous custom template and transferred them to Newspaper.
The problem is that the excerpts were an integral part of the articles and now are not showing on the article page.
There is a custom form excerpt with the articles, and these show up on some of the blocks on the front page.
The excerpt only shows up on the article page if I paste it into the Post Settings>Subtitle form.
Do I have to do this manually for all 3,500 articles?

Well, what I am trying to say is the excerpt field https://www.screencast.com/t/lKDizc428gj5 does not show up on the published article pages.
However, if I copy and paste into the subtitle field https://www.screencast.com/t/8J0PRJtYtn then that shows up on the article pages.
The problem I have is that my transferred articles solely include data in the excerpt field.
It is integral to the site that all articles have an excerpt on each page.

Please keep in mind that the Excerpt should have to be applied on your modules used by you and also, the Subtitle will have to be under your title -> https://www.screencast.com/t/7lwBEUZweXfJ If this is not show, please try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer, clear all your caches and install only the plugins that come bundled with the theme packet and rule out any conflicting plugins.

Yes, just leaving visual composer and newspaper plugins.
I just wish the excerpt would be published on the page.

I really don’t understand this. A lot of people complained about excerpts (it’s necessary for publishers) and you just like that ignore this giving useless links and advice. For God sake, we need excerpts!!!
