Recommendation for text content on home page that is archived weekly or monthly

I’ve been blogging with blogger and worpress since 2004 but am new to this theme and I’m looking for a recommendation for having text that I update 3-4 times a day (news articles, new blog posts etc aggregated from them community) that would sit on my home page until I archive it to another place on the site. I’d like the text to have all the functionality of a blog post but I don’t want people to have to click on the post to see it, I want the text to be on the home page. Any thoughts on the best way to do this? What element should I place this text into and what is the best way to archive it daily to a location where it can be by month based on categories or tags or posts or pages? What do you recommend? Looking for ideas. Here is an example of what I do. Right now it is a new post every day, but I want to update it more frequently

I figured it out! But I’d still like some advice. I’m guessing there may be better ways to do it.

I don’t want it to be a post, I want it to be a static page that changes.
