Refresh Newsmag causes momentary shift

Hi,

I noticed when you refresh the Newsmag demo page, or switch across categories using the menu, there is usually (but not always) a quick shift in the web page. It seems to momentarily “jiggle”.

For comparison I tried Wired.com, and switched across their categories along the top, and the site remains in place.

Any ideas what is causing this?

Ajax loading of queries on home page; or on post pages custom CSS over-riding default CSS. “Flash of unstyled text” … complex mega menu on slow server, etc.

Hi,

I guess you refer to the submenu indicator which loads via css after the menu – http://screencast.com/t/R6AGQCX5
Not sure if there’s a better solution for this, i’ll add it on our list and we’ll investigate.
