Related articles only shows up on posts of the type “post” i need it to show on custom post types as well, how can i do this? thanks!

The theme was designed to display related articles only on post post types: http://screencast.com/t/1KDBA1ySu8 In order to extent this functionality at custom post types are required some customizations in theme’s files.
This is a very complex task which require many customizations in order to be achieved. Unfortunately the time does not allow us to offer custom services at the moment so so if you still need guidance on this or you’re not aware of the steps you need to take in this regard please consider hiring a developer or a freelancer to do this for you.

It’s not really worth it.
If you remove the entire if from the screenshot it will display on all custom post types. But it has major issues.
1) the related posts will be only from the type “post”
2) Newsmag related posts only consider either TAGS or Categories. It can’t use custom taxonomies or the post titles to find related posts.
It’s very limited. There are plugins much better at this.
