Hi,
I am having multiple categories for each post. i want to know if there is any workaround to use the primary category for the related article widget in bottom of each post.

Hello,
The related articles have 2 option they can be filtered by: category and tag. The same category mean all the categories the post belongs to, not just the primary one. As an alternative we added the tags filter so you can have better control over your posts. Simply add the same tag to the articles you want the related posts widget to show.
