Remove 1 in red circle next to appearances?

I do not want to update as the current theme works well, and I don’t want to lose my custom changes. How can I remove the red circle with the update marker that appears next to the Appearances area?

Hello,

Unfortunately the update bubble cannot be removed until you update the theme. you can try to remove it with custom modifications though:
