I could not say how you could do that. I don’t think there is an option for this in the Yoast SEO plugin, the theme certainly does not have options to control the Facebook share. I believe there will always be a description. If there isn’t one entered for each post

You would need to fully eliminate the open graph description field as a possible starting point. However this will impact other things than FB.
You could try to use Yoast SEO Pro, and ask for a way to add function to always write empty space to the custom hook for Yoast custom FB description found bottom of each post.
