Hi,
How do I remove “by authorname” from the breadcumbs appearing in search results page?

hi,
you cannot remove the authors just from the search result page.
the reason is that the same code used to display the posts in pages (post displayed as modules) is used on the search result page. modifying the displaying code (from modules) will take effect where that modules is displayed.
