Remove small grey comment box on home page

i’VE BEENI’ve successfully turned off comments/views on the psts, but my client also it wants it remove on the home page.

On the home page, main newspaper demo, I am attempting to remove the samll grey box that I believe is the comment number, currently zero since the site is new.

I search the form, found where to go in theme panel and set this to off, but it still shows on home page. Any thoughts please?

ENABLE COMMENTS ON POSTS
Enable or disable the posts’ comments, for the entire site. ABLE
