Hi:
I tried to rename the Featured category name, however all the posts that were on the Featured category disappeared from the frontpage.
When renaming, I kept the slug the same (featured) as I thought it was the important thing the theme uses to order the posts in blocks, but it was not.
Is there a way to rename or translate the Featured category name while retaining the same functionality of the theme?

You can edit the category but please make sure that the slug to be featured and name the category like you want.

Yes, that’s what I did, I changed from “Featured” to “Destacado”.
When you open a block to edit its properties in Visual Composer, the Category Filter works fine, but “Featured” is still an option in “Sort order” dropdown list (img #1), so if you select from Category Filter: All Categories, posts belonging to the former featured category doesn’t show up on front page because category has been renamed an is no longer “Featured”. What you have there is only a text and don’t affect the functionality. If you want give us access to your WP and we will take a look, I’ve tested and for me works to change the name of the featured category.
