What font is the very top and the main menu in?
What size does my logo have to be so that it appears where NEWSMAG is left of the banner ad?
What size does my logo have to be so that it appears to the left of the main menu upon scrolling back up?

Delete this – I figured it out.
Found something else I need help with –
Upon closer inspection the font is white on a black background for the main menu – the active category/hovered change to white, and the font flips to black.
Still trying to figure out how to do that – so any help is appreciated.

I found that – but I couldn’t figure out how on your sample page that it had the text white, the background black, and then on hove the background went to white and the text went to black.
Seems like there needs to be one more setting to allow for the hover text to be black.

This is a custom design for that particular menu and if you leave the colors in their default state, you will get this effect. Unfortunately you will need css to recreate this behavior on another style if this is what you want.
