Request changelog for plugins update

Hi,

I usually make manual updates because I have inline code changes on my site/theme, and these changes are always at the bottom of the plugin folder because the changes in your theme are in the td-standard-pack and td-composer plugins.

It turns out that whenever there is an update, I have to redo the theme of 0 because you do not inform the update in the pluginfiles, and only inform and make available a folder and changelog that only mentions the theme folder.

This week we had a theme support update which I had to give up my time to redo the theme on 5 sites to update and today came out again another update, well, I’ll have to redo everything again within days because of you guys not reporting.

So I ask you to inform what I should update in this patch patch_10.3.9_10.3.9.1, in the plugins folder, which files have actually been updated.

Thank you for your understanding.

Hello !

You can download the update from theme forest: https://themeforest.net/item/newspaper/5489609 and in the files you will find only patch_10.3.9_10.3.9.1. You will be able to use the files from there in order to update.

Thank you !

Hi Vlad S,

Thanks for feedback.

I don’t think you understand.

The plugin folder also needs to be updated, and this folder does not provide the modified files in folder plugins, I have to always update.

And it is in the plugins folder that one can make changes to the theme.

For example, if I want to make changes and add lines in loop-single.php, I have to change in plugins/td-standard-pack/Newspaper and plugins/td-composer/mobile/single.php

But with the updates, you require me to delete plugins and reupload folder 0 and have to apply the modifications again without knowing if it was even necessary to redo all this procedure, because I do not know which files were updated in plugins.

Hello !

Unfortunately the files that you are having modified are not included in the child theme and you will have to keep re-doing them after each update. Unfortunately for this there is no workaround on what you are using.

Thank you !

Hi Vlad S,

The point is that it would save me time if they informed in changelog what was updated in the plugins folder, or at least to inform which plugins were updated or not, it was already a help to facilitate the update.

Best regards,

Ricardo Ribeiro

Hello !

What you can see is the files modified as you can see here, maybe this will be helpful for you: https://www.screencast.com/t/6SEt2J2GdXl

Changelog: https://themeforest.net/item/newspaper/5489609

This can be checked on every update and may protect you from losing your custom options.

Thank you !

Hi Vald,

I know, but this list does not say which plugins have been updated and the list of plugins files.

Only say theme folder.

Thanks

Hi Vlad S,

I know this, but this file only talks about the updated files in the theme folder and does not talk about the plugins. And many changes and functions of the theme are in the plugins folder, which are updated always.

My suggestion is to inform you that plugins have been updated in this changelog file and if possible, which files have been changed.

Thanks!

Hello !

Unfortunately those are the only information that there are available.

I have passed this as a suggestion to our developers.

Thank you for your understanding !
