Since I know the default answer is “this is custom work and not covered by this team”, I’ll put it as a suggestion for future updates: PHP blocks on Newspaper Composer.
My site needs a lot of custom functions and it’s a real pain to edit cloud templates, things would be much easier (and some possible, what is not the case today) with a simple PHP block – like that one for raw HTML. Many customizations would be possible with something so simple (or if the HTML module accept PHP too).
I guess it would be useful for many users. Thank you.

I really needed the PHP blocks (my site has a lot of custom code areas like review scores, etc), so I’m using a patch for this: first, I register a custom widget area where I need PHP using the Theme Panel > Blog and posts templates > Custom sidebar. Then, using the “PHP Code Widget” plugin for WordPress, I simply put the code there.
I’m sure it’s not the cleanest method, but it works.
