I really like the “news ticker” module and I use it on top of http://www.salzburg12.at – but I would it even love more, if the ticker could display content from external RSS feeds – maybe you could also add some nicer display features (fade, ticker etc.).
As you see on my site I’m using another plugin for that but it doesn’t look that good and is far away from displaying “smooth”.
Any chance? Or do you (or any other user) have any suggestions for a plugin that can do that stuff?

Unfortunately, for now, I can only add your request on our feature request list and we will consider it for future updates.
We haven’t tested any plugin with that functionality so I can’t recommend you any that works with the theme but you could try one like the ditty ticker or a similar one: http://dittynewsticker.com/ditty-rss-ticker/

@hallanaija I have checked your site and I see that you have added newsticker on your page. Please make sure that you have articles on that specific category to filter post on Big Grid. Provide more details what settings did you used for Big Grid, some screenshot will help.

I too would LOVE to see the option to add a RSS feed to the news ticker.
