Revolution Slider

Hi,

I’d like to use a Revolution slider to link a slide to a category page and also to the most popular posts over the past 7 days.

Can you please tell me how to create these 2 types of link in the Revolution Slider?

Hello,

In order to use a slider on a category page, you will have to edit the theme files. You can use the shortcode created by the plugin and use a do_shortcode function like so: http://screencast.com/t/VXWDBhAH4az
<?php echo do_shortcode ('slider shorcode here'); ?>
In order to link your slider to the most popular 7 days posts you will need custom modification and it unfortunately falls beyond the support we can offer. You will need to get a professional developer or freelancer to help you with this one.

Hi Bogdan,

Thank you for the inforamtion.

However I don’t want to use the Revolution Slider in a category page. I want to use it on my front page so that when someone clicks on a slide it takes them to the category or sub category page I have specified in the slide link.

So the question is do I simply enter the link like this http://howdoidate.com/category/dating/chemistry-dating/ or something else?
