also how can i change the color of the search button boarder as it is a bit hard to see against the white background

Without a live site it’s not possible for me to inspect element and see the exact CSS, but here goes.

Revolution slider problem:

.sf-menu {
  z-index: 2 !important;
  }

.rev_slider {
  z-index: 1 !important;
}

For the search bar, right-click and use inspect element. Find the input element and then find its class (or the class of the first container above it), then sub that in here:

.the-class-you-found input[type="text"] {
  border: 1px solid #777777 !important;

For example, if I were changing my Contact Form 7 “Your name” input, I would right click on it and find this:

In which case my CSS would be:

.wpcf7-form-control-wrap-your-name input[type="text"] {
  border: 1px solid #777777 !important;

Then change the hex code to whatever colour you want.
