Having as a fact that I have to do a full makeover on the website on Newspaper 8, I have the problems addressed on my title!
– I cannot find hot to create a custom 1/2 1/2 row
– I cannot make some parts appear in mobile/desktop only

(have this options been removed?)

Hi,

You will have to create your design using the available row layout settings
https://www.screencast.com/t/lmGKkTsOxP
The option to hide particular content based on device is not present at the moment, with the tagDiv composer. All these may change in future updates for this editor but I could not say for sure when it will happen.
Here you can find a useful tagDiv composer guide
https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/

Thanks

I can’t believe it’s not possible to split rows in 1/2 + 1/2 anymore, or customize it however we’d like. Why is this? VC still has these options.

On my second day with new composer, and not impressed.

Hi,

@riealeksandra
More layouts will be available in coming theme updates, so a layout like you mention could be available as well using the tagDiv composer. This page editor will have a considerable amount of options added to it, beginning as soon as with the future theme update.

Thanks

Its really hard to work with TagDiv composer. I cannot create 1/6 +5/6
I need this layout urgently!
On the left most I would like to have call to action button and on right side I would like to have some text.
Looks like impossible to achieve this with it.

Hi,

You could try other row layouts from the available ones
https://www.screencast.com/t/0i7ptEj6Ube
There could be more added in the future, but I cannot give you an exact date or say for sure. Try to build the design using the current options.

Thanks

Ok.
Looks like I found a work around, In normal wordpress editor, I managed to edit the columns of my choice.
