Safe to upgrade from 7.0.1 to latest with patch files?

Hello,

Is it safe for me to upgrade my Newspaper theme from 7.0.1 to 7.1.1 using the patch files patch_7.1_7.1.1?

Or do i firstly need to upgrade from 7.0.1 to Version 7.1?

Then upgrade to 7.1.1 using patch files patch_7.1_7.1.1?

Hello Gee95,

Please notice that you can use the both method, which you like. The first method with the patch could be a little bit harder than the simply update to the latest version. Also, you will have to do these changes only through FTP because this is the surest method in this regard.

So i can skip Version 7.1 and go straight from v 7.0.1 to 7.1.1 with the patch files in the latest release?

Yes, you can skip it because it was an intermediary version. Also, please check our changelog from this link -> http://themeforest.net/item/newspaper/5489609 -> http://screencast.com/t/dF5rqzVCfz and there you will find what type of files were modified.
