Save Settings doesn't work

I am trying to set up the theme, and Save Settings doesn’t work at all!
I’ve deactivated all the plugins (after reading this forum) but it still doesn’t work!
Can you please help me solve/fix this?

Firebug gives this error:

“NetworkError: 404 Not Found – http://www.domain.com/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php”

the file is in it’s place though!

The NetworkError was solved but it was totally irrelevant with the theme issue!
Still can save settings…

Anybody else having the same problem with the new version? I can’t figure out what’s wrong!

I’ve set up a fresh wordpress without installing any plugins and tried it, and the problem persist!

have you check with the inspector for javascript errors? this is what I’m guessing.

Thank you for your response, yes this is what I’m getting when I go to the panel:

event.returnValue is deprecated. Please use the standard event.preventDefault() instead.

and when I hit save settings:

POST http://www.domain.com/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php 404 (Not Found)

but the file of course is in its place!
so what is wrong???

brand new theme just uploaded, i’ve deactictivated all the plugins (whiche were those the template came with), and still rolling squares…
