Hi There,
We recently moved servers. After the move, we noticed that most of the “Saved shortcodes” were not moved. Can these be exported from the old staging and imported into the new stagin?
Please see attached screenshot:

Thank you in advance

Hi mita,
Normally if thee is use a migrate plugin that is migrating the entire website and the database too, then the saved shortcode will migrate too.
For this I think that you can choose a migrate plugin from here -> https://www.wpbeginner.com/showcase/best-wordpress-migration-plugins-compared/
I hope this will help you!
Hi Calin,
The migration included the database itself, as you can see that the rest of the website and content was successfully moved.
For some reason, the saved shortcodes disappeared during the move/or theme update, and this is all that we need to move at the moment.
Are these shortcodes a custom post type? Can they be manually moved without doing a full migration again?
Thanks,
Elson
I understand.
For this I have two suggestions.
You can try to import the theme panel settings -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/import-export-theme-settings/
Or you can access the database and search in wp_options after td_011 (copy and paste the value from a database in the new one)
Both methods should work.
Hello Elson!
The problem could be in the migration from the plugin you used. Normally, they should migrate with the whole design of your website. Please try the solutions my colleague explained to you above.
You can not choose only some shortcodes to migrate, but you can import the settings.
Thank you!
Hi Bettina,
The migration was done using All-in-one WP Migration, one of the recommended migration plugins. I am starting to wonder if there may be an issue with the old server that somehow limited the Newspaper options data that was exported.
When I try to access Theme Panel -> Import / Export, the lines of the export settings keep loading one by one and never reach an end.
Do you believe there may be any server-specific setting that needs to be tweaked on the source server in order for the Import/export settings to be properly generated?
Screenshot: https://drive.google.com/file/d/14t90NuncMwpMocc-SW3Y1SEEtJWUzxIT/view?usp=sharing
I tried several times, and most times it does appear to be exporting the correct settings (not the FxcX loop in the screenshot), but the loading keeps going for several minutes and nothing happens – the screen continues gray.
I can provide server access if you want to check.
Thanks
After about 25 minutes in the gray export section, the browser displayed two things:
1 – An export code that I believe is corrupted

2 – A connection reset error

Thanks
Hi,
When the import/export looks like this https://drive.google.com/file/d/14t90NuncMwpMocc-SW3Y1SEEtJWUzxIT/view is not the correct code for import/export, this is the correct one https://drive.google.com/file/d/109wqAZHSwUybF3yv1lOoSBsNNLtAa_DP/view the theme panel settings are encoded -> https://drive.google.com/file/d/10DUrhIWenbSGNflt9tGWKKkeRfq2nSFt/view and that it is look like this.
After the 25 minutes the settings from the old website were imported correctly to the new one ? If no, then please check the console when you try to add the import export settings and see if there are some errors displayed.
Thank you!
Hi Calin,
Thank you for your reply, as stated, I believe that the code that I exported is corruped:

The reason why:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/10FnEaa6sfkw_nKcUJK66Z3_0JKkTTRTu/view?usp=sharing
I wonder if the source (old staging) has its database corrupted, so I wanted to see your thoughts on this before we decide how to proceed.
Thanks
Hi,
Indeed, according to this https://drive.google.com/file/d/10FnEaa6sfkw_nKcUJK66Z3_0JKkTTRTu/view there seems to be something wrong.
You can check the old staging and see if the code is the same. Also what you can do is to use a revision (theme panel backup) and check the code again -> https://i.imgur.com/CNBOsPF.png
Thank you!
Hi Calin,
Upon a conversation with Bogdan regarding our project, I sent an email to support@tagdiv.com
Can you provide any feedback?
Thx,
Marta
