Our theme was built to respect the google standards in structured data on the internet, and have an important role for SEO (and it’s recommended by google), technically help the search engines to understand your content and display it in useful ways. You can find more details here: http://schema.org/docs/gs.html Also you can remove it from the code but notice that you need to add manually all meta properties for the elements from your site. Also, please provide more details about your problem so I will be able t provide a more accurate response.
