Hi
I’m trying to add custom schema to my newspaper site. I tried to add JSON-LD script in custom html blocks – however this was not rendered at all. https://www.maverickparadox.co.uk
Then I noticed that there is no schema on the site at all, not even Yoast automatic schema is showing. Does the theme automatically strip out schema?
Please advise:
– does the newspaper theme allow schema?
– why doesn’t the custom html blocks not work for schema?
– do you recommend a particular plugin (I’m concerned I’ll buy one and it still won’t render)
What can be done to fix this? All sites must have schema to remain relevant these days.
Please advise as soon as possible.
Thank you
Take care
Jude
Hi Jude,
Our theme adds the schema.org/Article markups by default. This option can be enabled/disabled from the theme panel > post settings > general post settings – https://i.imgur.com/16f1CJS.png. It is recommended that when an extra SEO plugin is activated, the option to not interfere be disabled.
If you want to set a JSON-LD script on a page it can be done using tagDiv Composer in HTML element.
Thank you!
Hi,
The image is store on imgur and is displaying the image from the theme panel > post settings > general post settings were the option for “enable article schema” option is located.
So, to set the JSON-LD script on a page use tagDiv Composer edit the page and add the HTML element – https://we.tl/t-SjCkdyTLvu
Hi
Is there a way to add invisible schema to posts/articles? I tried adding raw html to the article but that doesn’t work.
Can you send a wetransfer link like before as I can’t see images on imgur. (If you can resend the page one too that would be great and I’ll save them both).
Thanks
Jude
Hi,
If you want to have a custom schema on each article, then you need to set the script in your article. Using the Gutenberg editor, you can add an html code and insert the code in it – https://prnt.sc/fsygyNP2FpvO
Also, you can check those articles related to json-ld:
