The structure data errors are on our list of fixes as google changed their algorithm a bit and created these errors for us to fix :). We are working on these errors and they will be fixed in the new version of the theme.

I second this too.
I never saw any errors in the earlier Newspaper themes. So I hope sincerely that it is updated soonest.

I can report that my schema errors are now fixed as of this last update. Thanks!
One thing that would be an interesting add (but not sure how easy it would be) – if the post has a video, it would be good to have the Video Object Markup applied. I am not sure if this would be easy to do however.
The Structured Data tool reports no errors for me at this time.

Just as a heads up as of 12/23 the 6.6.3 package downloaded from envato has the old revslider plugin in the plugins folder zipped up as if its new (revslider.zip)
Theres an additional folder in plugins called revolution_slider_5 that has the revslider.zip (updated) inside. But the one revslider.zip in the plugin root folder is not the new version

This was the case since revolution slider 5. We could not include revolution slider since version 5 in the theme as the size of the plugin exceeds the limit so we had to add it separately.
