HI
Please make sure that the smar sidebar is enabled in theme panel > template settings: http://screencast.com/t/QQmMq2nUVDu also try to deactivate all plugin except Visual Composer, clear all caches then test the site again.
If you still can’t mange to solve this please provide your site url so we can have a closer look.

Hi
I’ve checked your site and noticed that you’re using an older version of Newsmag theme. Try to update the theme at V 3,1 which is available on themeforest, update Visual Composer at V 4.1, this version is included in theme’s patch, deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer, clear all caches purge cdn files then test the site again.
Let me know how it goes.
Thanks!
I tried to update and got the error message: “Deletion failed: The requested theme does not exist.” when trying to delete the old theme after activating a random one, in order to install the new version I downloaded from themeforest according to your instruction page on how to update. See image.

Well, the only way you can ensure you actually deleted the old theme folder properly is either
a) check via FTP if directory is there; delete it!
or —
b) use the filemanager in your host panel to delete folder if still there
Once you have the old folder deleted and you can *see* it’s gone via FTP; then simply upload the new theme folder (uncompressed on your local HD), to your theme folder. Boom, now you know it’s actually there, complete, and not broken.
Only you can do this step. Theme dev isn’t responsible for you installing software on your website.
Good luck!

I just updated the theme to 3.1 and the sidebar is still not scrolling even though its turned on. Also, when I first switched to the new theme version, my site became messed up and the above fold content was my old header menu stretched across the page. I put the menu on footer setting for now because I can’t have the menu taking up the whole of the above the fold content, you can’t see it now but it was a list of links just like reddit on the left hand side from the top of the main logo to the top of the page. I need to fix these 2 problems
Usually going to the menus option in appearance > menus and re-saving your menu locations works. This is often a common issue in changing themes due to how WordPress stores that info. Also check the menu option in the theme panel > header.
ALSO: remember your site now has all-new CSS; if you had added custom css to bottom of your style.css in old theme, you need to add that back in new theme.
This also means you need to fully clear your cache; such as in Chrome, in clearing your history to load only the new CSS for your updated site.
Glad you were able to get 3.1 working 🙂
