Search bar doesn't recognize plural version of searched terms

Hi,
the search bar right now doesn’t recognize searched terms if the word is typed in plural or vice-versa. How can I improve the search results? Example: I have an article about “Books” but if I search “Book” it won’t find anything.

The problem is still there, so here’s an example: if you type dessert you get a certain type of results: https://www.trendymami.com/?s=dessert , while if you typed desserts you get another one that doesn’t include the “dessert” results: https://www.trendymami.com/?s=desserts

How do I make the search function count both the plural and the singular version of a word?

Hi,

I understand what you mean, but note that if you type “dessert” you’ll get all posts that will have “dessert” or “desserts” in title or content, if you type “desserts” then you’ll get results that have “desserts” in title or content, because the search will try to fine some words that have at least the same length of letters or more that will mach with the letter type in search, but will not search for less like “dessert” when you wrote “desserts”.

If you want, you can try this on a default theme from WordPress.

Thank you!
