Is it possible to have the “search bar” visible in the header and not just the search icon?
On my site you have to click on the search icon for the box to appear, I want to box in stead of the search icon

This is the default implementation of our theme. There is no option to replace the search icon with a search bar. It can only be made custom by altering the theme files. Please check this topic: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/replace-search-icon-with-search-bar-in-the-header/

Ok, that is understandable. Next question then. Is it possible to move the search icon so that it is in line with the social media icons in the top bar? On my site, it looks out of line way to the right side of the screen.

The search icon will be aligned to the right.
You could display it in the top bar next to the socials – http://prntscr.com/lwdjzm
But from what I can see the icon font used by the theme is not loaded in the website
