Hi,
This issue is mostly caused by plugin conflicts. Please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files. Then test the button again. Let us know how it goes. Also if you have any custom code in the theme panel or the child theme, make sure you remove that also. (make a back-up before)

The child theme is something you create. You do not buy it anywhere. We already provide a starter child theme in our theme package here: http://screencast.com/t/tpp8wsd9hbL

If you want to use a child theme you can use this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-child-theme-support-tutorial/
But if you do not plan on adding any custom code or edit the theme files, then you do not need a child theme at all.

I’ve checked your site and noticed that you using some compression for js which may affect the features based on it. Try to remove any compression or minification, deactivate the plugins as Bogdan mentioned, clear the caches, purge the cdn if you’re using then test the site again.

The functionality of Search button cannot be changed very easy because all of this implementation is placed in code and this is not a simple task. First of all, if you want to bring best results with our theme, disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all your caches and install only the plugins that come bundled wit hour theme and rule out any conflicting plugins.
