Search Displaying Images

I’m using Relevanssi (Premium) for search.

It has the option to index Author profiles and display them in the search results. However, the images are broke, any thoughts on how I could get this to work with Newspaper? OR even specifically disable these author images (instead of seeing a broken image)

example: http://louisianabaptists.org/?s=jeff

http://www.relevanssi.com

Thanks!

You might try the simple local avatars plugin to have local copies of author images vs loading from gravtar webswite.

Not sure that helps, but just a thought.

Hi,

I’ve checked your site an noticed some errors in your console that the “no image” thumb for the search thumb: http://screencast.com/t/G544oagpxpFt isn;t gounf: http://screencast.com/t/i3ZW5seKTk4 however I’m not sure how as long as the other posts under have the “no image” thumbnail.

Doing another search this errors don’t show up anymore just this js error referenced to the child theme: http://screencast.com/t/dYOgTxg16WVE

I suggest you also try this using to the main theme.
Let me now how it goes!

Thanks

We’re using local avatars.

I see that the theme is looking for a specific image file called

louisianabaptists.org/w/wp-content/themes/Newspaper/images/no-img-post.png

Which doesn’t exist- I created it and added it to the theme; so now it’s not broken.

However, any thoughts on when showing an author in the results showing the user avatar instead of:

louisianabaptists.org/w/wp-content/themes/Newspaper/images/no-img-page.png

?

Thanks for your kind response

Hi,

The search page by default it’s set to use the search module – td_module_search.php – http://screencast.com/t/lSc3dbRLw
This module displays the featured image for each post, if something else is returned it displays the default placeholder image. To make it display avatars for authors it requires modification on the code and it’s not an easy task. If you don’t have programming experience my advice is to hire a professional developer to modify it for you. I’ve added this on our list but for the moment it’s not a priority, sorry, we have over 200 features on the list and we have to chose carefully which one get’s implemented next.

The image placeholder can be disabled from Theme Panel – http://screencast.com/t/ZDh4yHSQ

Thank you, Emil G.
