I’m using the Newspaper theme fully with customized templates for both web and mobile versions of the site in 3 languages (“polylang” plugin).
I tried both “search form” and “header live search” for web, and “mobile live search” for mobile pages with different outcomes:
– Search form on the web shows English posts on any language, when search for german posts keywords it shows no results.
– Header live search on the web shows translated post only when search content contains keyword from the English post. Example: I type: “Body language”, live search shows the post “Körpersprache: Tipps und Tricks”. When pressing “Enter” or clicking “view all results”, it happens the same (already described in “Search form”).
– Mobile live search on mobile pages shows the live search perfectly (example: typing “Körper” shows the live result of the post “Körpersprache: Tipps und Tricks”, but when entering all results it happens the same as above described – no results.

thank you for the response, still no results.
I researched the web a lot about the issue, and my opinion is that the searchform.php and search.php are not coded well, the search form doesn’t keep my header of the current language (it switches to the English version), but some of the content keeps the language template (German).

Additional: Footer keeps the german version of the site.
It might not be the issue with the Theme, still it would nice if you could give me some tips on how to solve this issue since I’m a newbie with PHP.
I see in the code that “home_url” is the probable redirection to the homepage, and there is only one on the site. I can’t make my subdirectories /de and /sr as additional homepages.
How do I implement “pll_current_language” into the code? I can send you the screenshots of the PHPs if you like.

Please make sure you have set right the polylang plugin -> https://polylang.pro/doc/translating-pages-posts-categories-and-tags/
Also, please do a test only with tagDiv plugins and polylang plugin.
