When I use the Newspaper theme search function, any page that was created with visual composer shows some crazy results.
It shows all of the shortcodes and gibberish used to create the VC pages.

Posts return normally, it’s only for visual composer pages, which we have a lot of in our site.
How can I prevent this from happening?

Maybe there is some sort of plugin interference. I see you have some extra classes on your pages so maybe they affect the search in some way. Please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Then check the search again.
