Second post in Slide is not shown after page load

We’re using the Slide component on our front page at http://www.vastavalkea.fi

After the front page has been loaded for the first time, the first post in the Slide is shown correctly, but then a blank white space appears in place of the second post. In other words, the second post does not show in the Slide.

The third post, then, is typically shown correctly, as well as the rest of the posts.

There is sometimes a considerable delay before the third post is shown in the Slide, after the blank second post.

I was wondering if preloading would help, but it didn’t.

It is very annoying to have the second post not show in the Slide. Is there something that could be done to tackle this problem?

Hello Vesa,

I have inspected your website and I did not saw any problems with your slider. Also, I noticed that you are not using the latest theme version, that could be a reason in this case. Try to update it and also, update all the required plugins which come bundled with the theme core files. If you are using some untested plugins, you should disable all of them because these might interact with the core theme and cause a lot of unknown issues.

Thank you Catalin. It seems that others have not had the same problem as I.

Would upgrading to the latest theme version be free of charge? We’re using Newspaper 6.
