when I create a section link on the homeseite which works from every subpage like homepage.com/#section the tab in the navigation is always selected. Is there a possibility to do it without having it highlighted all the time?

I have inspected your website but I cannot identify the source of this problem, sorry! As you can see in our demo here -> https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_video/category/tagdiv-serials/ the active hover work as expected. Surely, the problem comes from your side, sorry! Try to disable all your untested plugins because these can interact with the theme core files and cause a lot of unknown issues. Also, if the problem is still there, try to make a new clean install from scratch via FTP way, install only the plugins that come bundled with the theme packet and rule out any conflicting plugins and then install the demo Video News and check the results.
