Selecting location in Big Grid

Is there a way to select which portion of the grid you want a story to appear in? (We are using Big Grid 3) Right now it seems that the latest post will default to the primary location if you select it as a featured story. There are times that I want specific stories in specific areas of the grid, or I want to keep the lead story in the main block while adding new content in the smaller sections of the grid. The same goes for other blocks – I may want to keep one story up top while newer posts go farther down.

I sure hope there is a way to make this happen. Please let me know.

Hi,

Unfortunately the theme doesn’t have an option for that and it display’s the most recent filtered posts when building a query.

You can try to use WordPress’s sticky post feature: https://codex.wordpress.org/Sticky_Posts and remove this code: http://screencast.com/t/R3SAaJ4sbWTE then a post set to sticky should display first in each block/grid.

Thanks

I am having the same issue, and it looks like this is an old post, and the Sticky Posts plugin is no longer supported. Is there a more recent solution to this? I have tried using the native WordPress sticky posts feature, but it is not working.

Hi,

Unfortunately our theme do not have an option for this, also the WordPress sticky post do not work with our theme, sorry!
You can achieve something similar by setting the id of posts in block, in this way this will be always show.
