Hello,
I’ve seen on a few posts that the theme has the functionality to email users when a post is added but i’m not seeing where to do this.

Hello,
I’m not sure what posts you have seen but our theme does not have such a functionality. You will have to use plugins for it if you need this feature. Unfortunately I cannot recommend any. sorry

We’re using a plugin for this over here, with Newsmag.
There are several to try out in the WordPress.org plugin repository, depending on your needs and mail setup. You may need to setup SMTP mail plugin to send emails properly, also, just like when using WooCommerce.
