Can you please confirm Newspaper theme supports it you may be able to use %%excerpt%% as variable?

Hello,
Our theme uses a custom excerpt for the modules and blocks. It is an automatic cutting system so if you plan on using an excerpt variable in seo yoast you will probably have to add an excerpt to your post in WordPress in the excerpt field for each post: https://www.screencast.com/t/uq4A4npCpx
