SEO Newspaper and TOC plugin

I would like to raise the issue of framing tags used in newspaper. Are all the H3 tags in titles of similar articles and other things. Is it possible in the future to implement the ability to specify what tags to put? I think it is incorrect to put such tags in these places for SEO. The second question is about the conflict of these tags and for example the TOC – Table of Contents plugin. Now Newspaper does not know how to create a table of contents, and it is very necessary and often have to use this plugin. I would like to ask either to add a table of contents in the article or to add support for this plugin. Now there is a conflict: he picks up the headlines H3 including mega menu and in the end, instead of the normal table of contents is unclear what. Thanks in advance for the answer and for your work!

Hi,

That is true, most headings the theme uses are predefined and could only be changed in the code. For the moment I am not aware of plans to add options to customize each element’s heading, but that doesn’t mean there will not be any in the future. We try to implement popular suggestions and useful requests.

I understand the problem with the plugin you mention. From what I can see it doesn’t have a setting to limit it to a specific container like the post content, so it will check for headings in the whole page. It does have a setting to exclude headings it seems, but it may take some work to enter all the ones that are not supposed to appear. A setting like this one has would be useful – https://wordpress.org/plugins/shortcode-toc/ this way you can set the container in which it will look for the headings. I haven’t tried it my self.

Thanks
