Hello, is there a way to have a category but not have it show up in any menu.I like some stuff to show on front page of site and on front page of category but when clicked shows in another category that I want it to show up.Can this be done?

I want to have certain categories on the front pages of my site ie= FOOD&DRINK ,ON THE FRONT PAGE of that particular category, I want to have a section called hot food picks.I want the category, BUT I don’t want the category to show up on any menu.I just want what I want in that particular section only.

If this is what you mean, you can exclude categories from the ajax filter by using category id’s. You can get the category id from here: http://screencast.com/t/OKsDtKVi3G5 and then use category id’s to select which category you want to display in the ajax menu: http://screencast.com/t/nXMpYdnWU

I have a category FOOD&DRINK.There is a subcategory under that category.HOTPICKSFOODAND DRINKS

You are referring to the mega menu. That is the default behavior of this feature. It pulls every sub-categories of the main category and lists them as a sub-menu.
