I created content before linking the domain name. everything worked fine until i linked the domain name assistance.org. Once i linked the domain name, many page shows as 404 and the home page background color also shows as white instead of the actual color.

First of all, make a test and deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv ones. Also, if you are using a cache plugin, deactivate it, clear all cache, and try again.

I tried your suggestion by clearing all cache and also deactivating all unnecessary plugins, but still no luck.
