Share Buttons

Hi,

Social Share buttons are not picking the right path, as my permalink structure conatins .php extension at the end, but the share buttons picks without .php extension, so it displays the message nothing found.

What do you use in your permalinks? and why do you use with .php because that is not good for seo.

Please provide us more details.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply Marius,
Actually the blog is old, and i was not aware much about seo, that’s why set the permalink structure with .php, like
http://www.example.com/category/sub-category/post.php
Now please suggest what to do, as when i try to share post with the help of share buttons below the content, the page not found error occurred as the share buttons picks url without .php

Hi,
Go to Settings -> Permalinks and use Post name or custom permalink like: /%category%/%postname%/ and save the settigs.

Then should work you sharing buttons.

Hi Marius,
Thanks for the reply, but there is a huge amount of url’s there in my site, changing the permalink structure will cause a large number of 404 not found errors
