shared posts not showing the Excerpt

I have autopost to social media accounts installed for new posts, but it does not show the {excerpt} of the post?

Do you have proper opengraph tags setup, visible in the headers of your post(s)? Check ‘view source’ of one of your posts to see the actual HTML being rendered. Social systems generally won’t capture excerpt unless OG tags. X/Twitter no longer shows excerpts from open graph, only the text you have setup to post as part of the post, such as headline.

Hi leagcooks, as @simchris mentioned, if you have the og tags then you should not have problems. Usually those og tags are added by SEO plugins like Yoast SEO, but can be added from individual og plugins.
