shortcode in category description

hello everyone,
i need to activate shortocodes in category descriptions.
How can I do it?

Hi,
The category description gets an mce editor that you can use to add content to them if you use the SEO Yoast plugin. If you do not want to use the seo yoast plugin, you will have to edit the wordpress files as this is a default wordpress feature.

thanks bogdan for your quick answer. What I need is to let wordpress translate a shortcode like this [shordcode] in something that i choose (tipically html). What I see is that with tagdiv theme sortcodes doesnt work in category descriptions (in other themees they do). Hope this time I explained better my needs. sorry for my poor english

Hi,
I have made a few tests with this but it will not accept any shortcodes even if seo yoast is used but I could not get a shortcode working on a WP default theme either. It seems WordPress does not support shortcodes in the description by default.
