Hi,
I’m trying to insert a shortcode in my posts, but I only see it on Desktop but not on Mobile, with tagDiv Mobile plugin active.
If I disable it, the shortcode also works on mobile.
For example, https://vediamocichiara.it/tipi-di-cistite/. The plugin is [seguici-social]
Thank you.
Sorry, the shortcode is [seguici-social] (not plugin)
Hello,
The mobile theme does not accept shortcodes, so if you want this shortcode to be displayed in the post, you can disable it in the mobile theme for the respective post -> https://www.screencast.com/t/axXRJsWby
Thank you!
Hello,
this is a problem for me, because I can’t disable the mobile for all the articles where I put the shortcode (there are more than 1500).
And working a lot with shortcodes, it becomes difficult for me to keep this plugin active, which also gives me super Page Speed (without this, the Page Speed is very low).
Another problem is with the contact forms, which in the mobile do not display the placeholder (with the plugin deactivated it is displayed) and the captcha (this is not displayed in the mobile even without the plugin deactivated).
An example is the page https://www.vediamocichiara.it/ginecologa-dottssa-farris-risponde/

Hello,
The mobile theme comes with its own templates for page, post, category, etc so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout, the page content is made without builders in mobile editor => https://www.screencast.com/t/xbgZG8kH also, the options that are provided to edit the mobile theme version are limited (this keeps the things simple)).
So, if you want to have those shortcodes displayed, you need to disable the mobile theme plugin.
Also, please check this topic where I explained each mobile version -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/mobile-version-not-working-properly-2/ -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/amp-pages-not-working-well-with-this-theme/ and choose what mobile version you want.
Also, for page speed please check this topic https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/my-site-is-so-slow-after-installing-newspaper-theme/
Thank you!
Hello,
I created a new post with a shortcode inside.
You suggested that I disable the mobile plugin for posts that contained shortcodes because with the TagDiv Mobile plugin active, the shortcodes didn’t work.
And indeed, the post https://new.vediamocichiara.it/ginecologa-dottssa-farris-risponde/ worked. I disabled AMP and the shortcode works in mobile as well.
But this doesn’t happen with the page https://new.vediamocichiara.it/convenzione-con-redcare/, which also contains a shortcode but doesn’t work on mobile even with the AMP disabled.
Why is this happening?
Hello,
thank you, but we cannot afford to disable the two plugins, because thanks to them the speed of the site is excellent, and without them it is not feasible.
My question was another:
why on the first page, by deactivating AMP, the shortcode works correctly in mobile, while on the second page it doesn’t?
You had suggested that I deactivate it, and in fact it worked on the first page.
Hi,
what I did on the page where the shortcode works is go to the page edit sidebar (in the Publish area) and select AMP > Disabled (and I also did it on the second page).
There is no other item in my editor that allows me to disable the plugin.
Hi,
so you’re telling me that the only workaround for this problem is to disable the TagDiv Mobile and AMP plugins?
I repeat that with these active plugins we have achieved an optimal site speed, while without the speed it is absolutely invalid.
My managers will never allow this to happen, so a solution has to be found to make the shortcode work with the active plugin (deactivating it only for that page, which is not working right now).
Hi,
I finally solved!
In fact, the check to deactivate the mobile plugin was not displayed because someone had installed the Classic Editor plugin, and therefore you could not enter the Gutemberg editor view, and that check was not available.
It seems to work now, as I managed to finally disable the mobile plugin for this page.
Thank you very much.
